Rouse is currently collaborating with Professor Jay David Bolter at the Georgia Institute of Technology on a storyworld adaptation of Ray Bradbury's classic, The Martian Chronicles, set in the online 3D world SecondLife. 2L Martian Chronicles incorporates augmented reality (AR) technology being developed in the GVU Center at Georgia Tech to allow video actors to enter the graphical world of SecondLife. In our reimagining of the story, the Martians are played by SecondLife avatars and the Earth characters are protrayed by AR video of live actors. Rouse has contributed to the project so far as a video producer and editor, concept artist, and project manager. 2L Martian Chronicles is in the early stages of development, and we are currently in the process of applying for the rights to use Bradbury's story.
